The Story of Our Peacock Logo
This office site formerly housed the Sanibel Convalescent Home owned by Josephine Fiala in 1943. The Home was forced to close in 1981 because the state refused to grant an increase in the $33.63 a day Medicare rate.
Ms. Fiala kept turkeys, deer and exotic birds, including peacocks at the Home for the pleasure of her patients. Many Middletown natives will remember Sunday drives to Sanibel to admire these birds. A stained glass window in the form of a peacock still graces the front of the main building.
Peacocks are stunningly beautiful birds who take great pride in themselves.
At Dr. Salonia's office, we take great pride in helping our patients maintain beautiful, healthy smiles!
