Dr. Salonia is a general dentist whose practice focuses on preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Her practice philosophy is to create beautiful healthy smiles and to build lasting relationships with her patients by treating them with respect, kindness, and a gentle touch.
Dr. Salonia was born and raised in Middletown. She is a 1975 graduate of St. Lawrence University and a 1979 graduate of the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the New England Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In order to keep abreast of the latest advances in technology and materials for the benefit of her patients, Dr. Salonia is committed to continuing dental education. She has taken advanced training in TMJ, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry at the L.D. Pankey Institute and Louisiana State University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Salonia is very active in her profession and in her community, serving on various boards and committees. She received the prestigious international Pierre Fauchard award for dentists who have served their profession in an outstanding manner. The doctor and her staff are proud to participate in several local and national dental charities, including Give Back a Smile, a program restoring dental health to women who are victims of domestic violence and Give Kids a Smile, providing free dentistry to children in need.
Dr. Salonia has been practicing in her hometown of Middletown for over 25 years. She is married to local attorney John Boccalatte and they have six grown children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, bicycling, hiking, and skiing.
