Traci received her certificate in dental assisting from Tunxis Community College in 1984. She was immediately accepted into the dental hygiene program and graduated with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1986. Traci has the distinction of being Dr. Salonia's most senior employee with over 20 years of service! She has known her patients for so long, that most are like family. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is helping people achieve optimal dental health. Traci is a native of Meriden, Connecticut. She and her husband have three children and three grandchildren. Most weekends you can find her entertaining family and friends in her big backyard.
Kathy graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Springfield Technical Community College in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1990. She has been in the dental field since 1982. Kathy has been a part of Dr. Salonia's team for 10 years. As a hygienist, she enjoys helping to create and maintain beautiful, healthy smiles. A native of Lee, Massachusetts, Kathy now lives in Berlin, Connecticut. Kathy enjoys quilting as well as hitting the ski slopes with her husband and son.
Faith graduated from Middlesex Community College with an Associates Degree in Marketing and Public Relations. She has been with Dr. Salonia for over 20 years. She strives to be sure that our office provides each patient with the individualized care and concern that we would give to a family member. Faith grew up in Middletown and has known many of the patients and their families for years. She and her husband enjoy trying new restaurants and playing with their two Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
Kateri graduated in 2010 as one of the top students in her dental assisting program at Porter and Chester Institute. She changed her career from an account representative to a dental assistant in order to make a difference in the health and smiles of our patients. She is enjoying her new career and is looking forward to the opportunity for continuing education that Dr. Salonia provides for her team. Kateri’s wish is to make each patient feel comfortable and happy during their entire dental appointment. Born and raised in Southington, Kateri now lives in Bristol with her husband and well-loved 2 year old dog, Bella.
Sandy is the newest member of Dr. Salonia's team. She has worked as an L.P.N. in area hospitals and is a clinical instructor in a Certified Nurse Aid program. With over 30 years of experience as an Office Manager in a local Oral Surgery practice, she brings a host of medical, dental and surgical experience to the team. Sandy can be found assisting Faith, part time, at the reception desk and looks forward to making new friends and greeting old ones. Sandy wishes to contribute to the office philosophy of providing dental care at its finest - right from the moment you walk through the front door. Sandy resides in Durham with her husband, John, and orange tabby cat, Buddy. She enjoys 5k road races, biking with her daughter and grandchildren, and cross country road trips with John.
